Pentagon Badging
The DHRA Headquarters will assist DHRA Components in obtaining necessary Pentagon badges.
How to make a request for a Pentagon badge
Requests for Pentagon badges and specific building badges must come to the DHRA Headquarters via an employee's supervisor. Pentagon badges are only issued to those with a demonstrated need to be at the building three or more times per week.
Employees who require a Pentagon badge must forward a completed DL 1820 (original copy) to the DHRA Headquarters, along with a justification stating why the badge is required, frequency of Pentagon visits, purpose of Pentagon visits, and if escort privileges are required.
Once DHRA Headquarters receives the DL 1820, the Headquarters staff will prepare the other documents that are required to accompany the 1820 request to Personnel and Readiness (P&R) Security.
Please Note:
The turnaround time on a badge request is usually two to three weeks. DHRA Headquarters will contact employees to retrieve all approved paperwork. New badges must be picked up within 10 business days of the signed date.
