Established in 2020, the DAC-PSM provides independent advice and recommendations on the prevention of sexual assault and other sexual misconduct involving members of theArmed Forces.

In addition, the committee provides independent advice and recommendations on the sexual assault prevention policies, programs, and practices of each Military Department, each Armed Force, and each Military Service Academy.

DAC-PSM members offer experience and expertise in sexual assault prevention, academic research, public health, and organizational change. The Committee meets publicly approximately three times per year and is allowed a maximum of 20 members.
